Phone Conversation With Baby Dax

I called them up one Sunday morning after they went to Sunday School.

Me : So what did you learn today in Sunday School?
Dax : Papa we have a memory verse.
Me : Really? So, can you recite it to me?
Dax : "Love One Another"
Me : Oh, so that means you have to love Ate Bob all the time and not keep on hurting/fighting with her (as they always fight over petty things)
Dax : But Papa it does not say Ava, it says "Love one another" not "Love Ava"
Oh well, palusot all the time of our Baby Dax :)

Dropped by an old work place before (12 years before) and feels great to be back.

Proud Daddy Moments...

Nothing beats the feeling of being proud with what my kids achieved at the end of the school year. Both girls are 1st Honors in their own classes. And so I have to be home to pin those medals and be there while harvesting the fruits of their labor.

While preparing to go to the program.

Before the program starts, the girls went up the stage right away.

The graduation march and Ate Bob is part of the entourage.

Closer look at the girls.

Prayer dance with the honor students

Ate Bob joins again when we gave Baby Dax medals.

The march up on stage.

Some photo op after the program.

And another one when we got home.

And another one on stage.

The happy Baby Dax with Mama.

She has the most medals of all her classmates.

And the proud parents.

Now, it's Ate Bob's turn. Baby Dax gave her medal too.

And some selfie of the proud parents.

Now its my turn. She got 11 medals in all.

Together with the other honor students from her class.

Then, she changed outfit to render her winning piece :The gingham dog and the calico cat"

Together with other non-academic awardees.

Photo op in her tarpaulin in school before going home.

Bought a frame in NB to put it in the wall of fame (Ate Bobs)

Baby Dax too has her own.

Some side pictures of Victoria looking dapper ever.

Recent pictures of the girls before leaving yesterday.

And Baby Dax too.

And a side trip in Boracay.

That's all for now. Next week, Ate Bob and me will travel together in another place without Mama and Baby Dax. Looking forward to it.

Ate Bob’s Tales.

Since its March, the metro is always abuzz with fire truck sirens most of the time. Last week, when the sirens were up and running again, it struck me it’s the best time to lecture her on what to do in case there is fire in the house (although she gets the same lecture most of the time).  After telling her what to do during such situation, I asked her this:

Me : If you are to bring only one most important thing  with you what would it be? (Thinking that she would answer it would be her Harry Potter Book Collection as it is very dear to her).

Ate Bob: (without having to pause at all). Ohh, Papa, it would be you. You are the only thing most precious that I can think of. And so who wouldn’t melt with that answer? Lols.

And trying to be more inquisitive. I added:

Me: What about Momoms? (referring to her mommy). What happens to her?

Ate Bob: Ohh that, she comes next. Ill go back to get her too.

Lols. I get to be the safe one first.

Some selfie time with the girls before I left last Thursday.

Some paparazzi time while walking along the beach yesterday.

Ate Bob's school tales

Me: Ate Bob don't say that (referring to her seatmate as dumb).
Ate Bob: But really papa he is dumb (laughing so hard).
Me: How do you know?
Ate Bob: He got zero in our quiz today because he copied all my answers.
Me: How come he got zero when you got a perfect score?
Ate Bob: Because he also copied my name that's why teacher knew he cheated so he got zero for copying.
Me: lols.
It's nice listening to kids stories.

It's 2014!

Though timidity is written all over me at the beginning of the year, I know I have to make my first entry. And so for this year, the whole family started the year with a blast. We spent the new year in Boracay Island. For seven (7) straight days I was busy shelling out money here and there. Though the highlight of the New Years Eve in the island was the fireworks display which was ruined by the heavy rain, the two girls were up to watch it from the veranda of our rented hotel. Here are some of the pictures.

Lessons learned, never take Cebu Pac. Never.
Ate Bob & Baby Dax found a new friend while waiting for the flight to Kalibo.

Finally, Baby Dax gets to have the window seat.

Ate Bob still gets to find time to read their magazine at 2 in the morning due to delayed flight.

31st of December 2014 while waiting for midnight in the island.
They brought their toy all the way from Manila just to make sand castles.

I just like this picture of Ate Bob. Nothing more :)

Baby Dax was trying to pee I guess. Lols.

And the mandatory picture with the sand castle trademark of the island.

I was asked to take their picture.

And another one.

Since we were there for quite a long time, we indulge in several
hotels by transferring from one place to the other.

Ate Bob and Baby Dax by the poolside. I think this was in Alice in Wonderland

And some side trip fishing in grandma's fishpond residence

There. The end of 2013 and the ushering in of 2014 for us. Good start for us and I hope it gets through the rest of the year.
